1st Day of Activities - 17 of September 2023

We started the first day of the Youth Exchange project with integration games LED by Gosia learning each other's names, running game, getting to know each other during the game. The participants really liked the princess, dragon and soldier game, also a game in which we played the role of animals and had to gather a group based on sound made by an animal. Then we met in national groups to share our concerns, expectations regarding the project and talents with which we can diversify the project. Then we presented the results of our conversations. The project coordinator, Nicolas , tried to dispel our concerns and meet our expectations. In the next stage,Magdalena from the Polish organization Open Soul gave presentations with fair trade goals and introduced fair trade. Participants got to know fair trade mark.Participants could watch short videos on YouTube. The next avitvity was How to split banana. Aim of this was yo introduce the banana chain (what happens to a banana before it reaches the consumer) and to discuss the reality of 'who gets what'from the sale of bananas. Agata , president of Open Soul divided participants into five groups to represent each of the different jobs in the banana chain. She told them that they are about to play a game that traces the path of the banana as it is exported from its plantation in Latin America (or the Caribbean Islands) to your fruit bowl. On the seconda round a spokesperson from each group were chodem to negotiate a price until the amount comes to 30p.When they have agreed amounts, leader revealed the true breakdown of who gets what from the final price of a Latin American banana. After lunch, the project participants rested and took part in sports activities at the swimming pool. The next task was led by Kyriakos. Participants in international groups described what key competences they would acquire during the project implementation. Participants were advised to write down their experiences from each day. At the end of the day, participants shared their impressions with the leaders. The leaders also had their meeting to review the day.

2nd day of Activities - 18 of September 2023

The second day started with all the participants making their own personal tags, so they could easily remember each others names. The facilitator of the project, Kyriakos, introduced the game Top ten in which the group is divided into teams of 8 people who have to guess for example The top ten biggest cities in the world. Everyday each team tries to earn as many points as they can and the winner will be revealed in the end of the project. After that the participants presented their work done in the preparation phase. Each country showed their own research and statistics related to the topic of the Erasmus+ project: Fair trade and responsible consumers (FTRC). Some of the participants brought products marked with the fair trade label and shared them with the others. After the quick coffee break the participants engaged in a portrait drawing game in which they had to pay close attention to the personal features of the people around them and try to recreate them on a piece of paper. Everybody got a big smile on their face when they saw a wall full of these drawings and they started searching for their portrait. The next interesting activity of the day was the board game Coobana. The group was separated into teams and they once again had the opportunity to learn more about the Fair trade topic having fun at the same time. After the recharge of the batteries during the next break, it was time for an adventure.

The participants had the wonderful chance to explore the beautiful sites of Pissouri while taking part in a special Treasure hunt. To complete the game they had to interact with the local people and to visit and learn more about the unique places in the village. in the link you can find the results of our teams in this activity: https://ftrc-fair-trade.webnode.page/tasks-in-pissouri/

In the evening there was the first Intercultural night where Poland and Portugal shared with the audience interesting facts about their counties and presented them in a really inovative way. There were also quizzes and tables full of traditional portugese and polish food. And then it was time for the traditional dances. Everybody was having fun and the relationship between the participants kept becoming more and more warm.

3rd day of Activities - 19 of September 2023

The day started with a top 10 about the most spoken languages in the world.

We did an energizer, in pairs in which we alternated between saying the numbers 1,2,3. Later, 1 became jump and dont say anything. After that, 2 became a clap and lastly 3 became a sound.

Promotional materials : firstly we discussed the ways we could do it, and came to 9 options : memes, photos, videos, articles, competition, posters, booklets, vlogs and leaflets. Everyone chose an option and then we went out to work on defining a plan for our promotional material (what is it gonna be like? How is it gonna be shared? Etc.). Then we presented the plan to everyone in order to hear suggestions and opinions to help us better the promotional material. After that, we had some time to keep working on this.

In the afternoon, we started by doing another top ten, this time about top 10 female names in Europe.

Afterwards, Cyprus presented their research about Fairtrade.

We then went to the beach and did 3 activities before freetime:we wrote FTRC on the ground with rocks, we played tug of war and then we had a game in which we had to work as a team to fill a recipient on your head full of sea water.

In this workshop we had to get into groups and complete a task which was to invent a fair trade snack product. We had to invent a name for it, design a logo and package for it, to design a marketing campain to promote it. The participants worked in groups very creativly, activly and joyfully. . After everyone presented their products we noticed that most products were in common like the chocolate banana, environment free condoms, icecream, brush with purpose and others. After this, for more energy and power we played an energiser outside where we had to tangle our arms with other participants and try to untangle without letting go of eachothers hand to create a circle. The second part of our day started with The TOP 10 game (The most followed people on Instagram). After the energizer, project's facilitators offered us to play BE ACTIVE games: chess, darts, backgammon.
